Karen has lived and worked for local government in the Black Country all her life, firstly as a care assistant before becoming a scheme manager in a Sheltered Housing complex until her current role as a Team Leader for Dudley Telecare Service.

She has successfully completed her CIPD Certificate in training practice and Post Graduate Certificate in assistive technology and is currently completing her master’s degree (MSc) in Assistive technology at Coventry University. Her role involves managing a 24/7 control centre and coaching, mentoring and training Community Alarm staff. She has an innovative approach and is always looking for new ways of working in order to enhance people lives that live in the community.
