John is an independent strategic expert in digital health and telehealth.  Since 2010, John has been responsible for launching and authoring six influential reports published by 2020health, covering a spectrum of nationally significant issues across IT, telehealth and electronic health records. 

As part of the NHS commitment to digital health, the NHS and the US Veteran Affairs (VA) organisations launched a Leadership Exchange programme in 2013.  Published in March 2013, John’s report “Making Connections” report outlines best practice in the planning and use of digital health technology in both organisations.  John facilitated the NHS north visit to the VA in Minneapolis in May 2013.

His career since the 1980s has also included leadership roles in the healthcare practices of major consultancies. In addition to his work with 2020health, he advises healthcare organisations committed to the strategic use of information and telehealth.

John graduated in economics and management science from St John’s College, Cambridge.
