Elizabeth Coates joined the School of Health and Related Research at the University of Sheffield in July 2012. She holds a PhD in Sociology, and has worked in a range of academic and government posts in health and social research. Elizabeth is currently managing the MALT study - Overcoming the Barriers to Mainstreaming Assisted Living Technologies. This Technology Strategy Board funded project aims to better understand the barriers to and facilitators of delivering assisted living technology. Her research interests include technology and health, research utilization in practice and policy, and qualitative research methodology.
